What we do
ASCN’s work is focused on delivering meaningful health, care and wellbeing outcomes for Veterans and their families. We do this by:
- creating “one voice” for the Network to secure representation on relevant national advisory bodies, and provide a platform for unified communication with government, industry bodies and ex-service organisations on behalf of Defence communities
- sharing insights into the implications of the changing landscape of health care, aged care and accommodation services, in particular as it relates to the service and ex-service community members
- working collectively to mitigate strategic and operational risks from changes in the market
- collaborating at strategic and operational levels across our member group, the wider ageing and health care community, thought leaders and partners
- improving understanding of the Australian and New Zealand governments’ legislative programs and subsequent implications for our community of organisations
- linking with other international organisations with a direct interest in the provision of services and support to the serving and ex-serving community and their families, to increase understanding of contemporary issues and practices, and enhance outcomes for the Network and Defence community members.
